[ARCHIVED] Multiple Road Closures for Criterium Cycling Classic on Friday, June 24

Race Route Final 2022

Join us for the 18th Annual Shorewood Criterium Cycling Classic on Friday, June 24, 2022. We are excited to once again be a host city for the largest cycling event in the country, the Tour of America's Dairyland, comprised of several days of competitive racing and bringing riders from amateurs to pros. With the race, bring multiple street closures as the race route is bound Oakland Ave, Olive St, Maryland Ave and Kensington Blvd. A note to all residents of Shorewood, streets will begin closing at 8:00 am and will remain closed until about 10:00 pm for clean up.

We would like to remind residents both on and inside the course (see map) that they will need to park their cars outside the permit area if in/out access is needed.

There will no parking in the 1700 blocks of Olive St, Marion St, Lake Bluff Blvd and Kensington Blvd from Oakland Ave westward to the commercial alley or end of commercial buildings, whether signs are posted or not. The race route is bound by Oakland Ave, Olive St, Maryland Ave & Kensington Blvd with barricades on Glendale Ave, the north end of Oakland Ave with the Kensington Blvd Block Party from 4500 to 4528 Oakland Ave.

For those located within the interior of the race route, you will have vehicle access at the intersection of Lake Bluff Blvd & Maryland Ave in between races. This will be the only point that Shorewood Police will allow vehicle traffic to cross the route during intervals in the race. There will be no parking allowed on the racecourse during the event. Please be sure to obey temporary no parking signs to avoid tickets and towing.
