[ARCHIVED] Proposed Multi-Family Redevelopment to be Reviewed by Plan Commission and Design Review Board

SE Rendering at Capitol Stowell

The Village has received plans from Three Leaf Development related to the proposed redevelopment of three properties on E. Capitol Dr. at the northwest intersection of N. Stowell Ave. The properties are zoned B-3 Mixed Use Commercial District, which permits multi-family uses on all floors. The development, which would feature 39 one- and two-bedroom apartments would replace the existing single-family home on the corner, the commercial building occupied by Sunseekers by Rosie and the parking lots on either side, but not the private parking lot on the western end of the block.

The Zoning Review confirmed conformance to the Village’s requirements, including use, height, setback and parking standards. As required by code, the Plan Commission is scheduled to confirm the proposed side setback for the corner lot at their virtual meeting on Tuesday, January 25 at 6:30 p.m. The Design Review Board is scheduled to review the proposed architecture at their virtual meeting on Thursday, January 27 at 5:00 pm. Look for information on how to join that meeting in the Village’s agenda center. Questions or comment relating to either review may be submitted to Bart Griepentrog, Planning & Development Director.
