[ARCHIVED] DPW Collection Reminders

dpw2013

How to Properly Dispose your Holiday Trees and Decorations
DPW staff will be chipping holiday trees placed curbside on an irregular schedule as staff availability and weather conditions allow. Trees covered in snow or frozen into snowbanks will not be collected until they are free from ice and snow. Please remove all twine, rope, wires, stands and bags from trees as these materials may damage chipping equipment. Items containing wires, rope, or plastic such as wreaths or garlands cannot be chipped and may be placed in your regular garbage can for disposal.

Collections over the MLK Holiday
This is a reminder that collection routes will not change at all next week due to the MLK holiday. This means your day will stay the same for refuse and recycling collection. If you have any questions, please contact Public Works at 414.847.2650 or via email at dpw@shorewoodwi.gov.
