[ARCHIVED] Save the Date: Shorewood Speaks on Affordable Housing

Village of Shorewood Logo

Please save the date for the next Shorewood Speaks: The Impact of Affordable Housing, which will take place on Thursday, November 18 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. The meeting will be virtually, and call in information will be available on the Village of Shorewood website's community meeting calendar. The event is co-hosted by the Village of Shorewood's Human Relations Commission and the Community Development Authority.

This session creates a community forum to talk about the impacts of affordable housing. The first 30-45 minutes will consist of guest speakers who will provide an introduction on affordable housing. The speakers will be Kori Schneider Peragine (Metropolitan Milwaukee Fair Housing Council), Matthew Melendes (Milwaukee LISC), and Ana Simpson (Wisconsin Housing and Economic Development Authority). After the speakers, there will then be a 75-minute open forum offering residents a chance to express their thoughts and questions around affordable housing. Community members may also decide to ask the speakers direct questions to learn more about affordable housing. A huge thank you to Frank Cumberbatch for agreeing to facilitate the forum.

If you have any questions about the event, please contact Assistant Village Manager Tyler Burkart at tburkart@shorewoodwi.gov or call 414-847-2705.
