[ARCHIVED] Village Passes Resolution Encouraging Adherence to CDC Guidelines

Mask Up Shorewood

The Centers of Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) came out with a recommendation on July 27 stating fully vaccinated people shall also wear a mask in public indoor settings in areas of substantial or high transmission due to the B.1.617.2 (Delta) variant. Milwaukee County is currently rated a substantial level of transmission.  On August 16, the Village Board approved Resolution 2021-22 encouraging adherence to CDC guidelines concerning the use of face coverings and/or social distancing.  All community members, no matter their vaccination status, are asked to wear masks indoors or when unable to socially distance from others and comply with all CDC guidelines.

The Library Board adopted a policy requiring all patrons to wear a face covering when entering their space, no matter if the individual is vaccinated or not. We thank you for your cooperation in helping to keep those around you safe.

If you have concerns of a business, group, or individual not adhering to the CDC guidelines, you may contact the Village through the face mask complaint form.  The Village would then follow up providing additional education to that individual, group, or business.
