Volunteers Needed
The Village still needs a few more volunteers for the 4th of July parade. If you are available to help any time between 1:00 and 4:00 p.m., please contact Sarah DeNeve at

Details of the 4th of July Celebration
The Shorewood Foundation is the premier sponsor for this year's 4th of July parade and fireworks celebration. The parade will begin at 3:00 p.m. The parade route will start at the intersection of Kensington Blvd. and Oakland Ave. and head south on Oakland Ave. The parade route ends at the intersection of Edgewood Ave. and Oakland Ave. Ice cream will be available at River Park when the parade concludes. Fireworks will start at 9:30 p.m. or dusk at Atwater Park. There will be no live music or program this year prior to the fireworks.
To manage traffic away from Lake Drive and the fireworks celebration, which has been modified from past years, here are the following details:
- Northbound on Lake Drive - Must go west onto E. Shorewood Blvd., north onto N. Downer Ave., east onto E. Jarvis St., and north to get back onto N. Lake Dr.
- Southbound on Lake Drive - Must go west onto E. Jarvis St., south onto N. Downer Ave., east onto E. Shorewood Blvd., and south to get back onto N. Lake Dr.
- The blocks on N. Ridgefield Cir., N. Richland Ct., and N. Harcourt Pl. will be blocked off for the detour starting at 5:00 p.m.
A huge thank you to 4th of July Coordinator Sarah DeNeve for managing to organize a parade and celebration despite the challenges of the pandemic. Thank you to the Shorewood Foundation and all the sponsors who helped make this year's celebration a reality.
