[ARCHIVED] 2021 Environmental Film Festival Goes Virtual

From the Waste Up

The Conservation Committee is hosting a virtual Environmental Film Festival this year. From the Waste Up will kick off part 1 of the 3 film series. The film will be virtually screened via Zoom on Wednesday, February 17 at 7:00 p.m. After the film there will be a short discussion for community members to process the film together. To view the film virtually at the scheduled time, go here. You can also get more information on the Facebook event page.

The Environmental Film Festival is designed to show a film that inspires community members to reflect on their own conservation efforts and make changes to be a better steward of our Earth. There is no cost for attending.

From the Waste Up follows the lives of 19 people in their bold attempt to live without plastic and explores concepts of consumerism, waste, and convenience as well as the satisfaction of going without. Come learn what you can do to support Shorewood’s own efforts to reduce plastic bags and other single-use disposables in our wastestream.
