General Information
To find your polling place or see what is on the ballot, please visit My Vote Wisconsin. Absentee ballots will be processed at Central Count processing at Village Hall. All ballots will be tabulated on Election Day. Tabulating will continue until all ballots have been processed.

Masks are encouraged in the polling locations but not required for voters. All workers and observers are required to wear a mask in the polling locations. Please keep six feet of distance between you and the next voter. Voting surfaces are cleaned regularly. Voters are welcome to bring their own black or blue ball point pen and should wash or sanitize their hands before and after using the polling place.

Absentee Ballots
Voters who returned incomplete certificate envelopes were contacted via phone, email or USPS and have until 8:00 p.m. to correct any errors so their ballot can be counted. You can turn in your absentee ballot with proper voter signature, witness signature and address through 8:00 p.m. on Election Day via the white drop box or in the Clerk’s office on Election Day. All ballots must be received by 8:00 p.m. on Election Day in order to be counted. The drop box will be checked several times during the day with a final check at 8:00 p.m.

If voters have already been issued an absentee ballot by mail and have not returned it are able to vote on Election Day. The process will just take a little longer. Absentee voters who have returned their absentee ballot are not allowed to vote on Election Day and cannot make any changes to their voted ballot.

Results
Results will be transmitted to Milwaukee County as the polling locations close. Those results may be shared by the media before all results are transmitted. The results are not final until all ballots at Central Count are tabulated and results are sent to the county and confirmed with the Clerk’s office. The best place to get the most accurate results is the Village of Shorewood’s website or Facebook page. Results will also be posted on both sets of doors at Village Hall. No result is final until the clerk uploads the information on the Village’s website.

Voter participation
Please note if you vote in-person on Election Day or absentee but do not see voter participation in MyVote, voter participation is manually entered by the Clerk’s office after the Election. This process can take up to 30 days.
