[ARCHIVED] Interested Local Officials Candidacy Gathering

Village Hall

Shorewood residents are now able to circulate nomination papers to run for local elected office. The ballot will consist of two Village Trustee seats, Village President, and one School Board member seat. The deadline for filing nomination papers is Tuesday, January 5, 2021 by 5:00 p.m. If a primary is needed, the Spring primary will take place Tuesday, February 16, 2021. The main Spring election will be Tuesday, April 6, 2021.

In order to help potential candidates learn more about the candidacy filing process, the role of an elected official, and campaign finance requirements, the Village is coordinating a Local Official Candidacy Gathering on Thursday, December 17 at 5:30 p.m. The gathering will take place via Zoom. Those interested in attending the gathering can contact Village Clerk Sara Bruckman at or 414.847.2608 so that you can receive the Zoom call in information. Those that want to get started with their nomination papers in advance of the meeting can also contact the Village Clerk to learn how to get started.
