[ARCHIVED] Village now accepting Block Party Applications

Block Party

This is the time of year when many of our neighbors look forward to hosting their annual block party. Many have called to see if they will be able to continue the tradition this year due to on-going concerns surrounding COVID-19.

The Village of Shorewood and the other North Shore communities are currently in Phase C of the North Shorewood Health Department’s reopening guidelines for businesses and other activities which allows gatherings of 50 people or less. Therefore, the Village will move forward with approving block party applications.  We encourage you to review the specific guidelines recommended by the NSHD regarding mass gatherings and to continue practicing social distancing and taking other protective measures.

Applications must be submitted to the Clerk & Customer Service Department at least two (2) weeks prior to the requested date. Hard copies may be dropped in the drop box in the parking lot behind Village Hall or you may email your application to Block parties are limited to five (5) per weekend and are approved on a first come, first serve basis.  The Village reserves the right to overturn any approved applications if the North Shore Health Department advises differently on block parties due to COVID-19 cases.
