coronavirus-dark-1200x800

On May 13, the Supreme Court of Wisconsin overturned the Statewide "Safer at Home" Order. The full Supreme Court decision can be found at here.

A new Public Health Order has been issued that directly impacts Shorewood, the COVID-19 Public Health Plan for Suburban Milwaukee County. The order is effective immediately and shall remain in effect until 11:59 p.m. on Thursday, May 21, 2020 or until a superseding order is issued.  The new order can be found on the North Shore Health Department website.

The plan resembles Safer-At-Home and Badger Bounce Back, but does ease certain restrictions. Milwaukee County Public Health Officers, including the North Shore Health Department, developed this plan based on federal & state guidance to slow the spread of COVID-19 & bring back our economy.

The intent of the week long order is to provide time for health officials to determine next steps based on any potential response by the State Legislature. As such, this is a rapidly evolving situation and is subject to change. The Village will continue to provide updated information regarding public health orders.
