[ARCHIVED] Vacuum Leaf Collection Updates

dont leave your leaves

The day-certain leaf collection schedule has been suspended. The Village experienced mechanical failure of two of its three vacuum machines. DPW staff will be utilizing an assortment of equipment to collect leaves but cannot guarantee the day certain schedule. Leaves in yard waste bags will be collected curbside on the day of your scheduled refuse and yard waste collection.

Vacuum leaf collection began on Monday, October 21. Leaves will be collected on a weekly basis. You can view the collection schedule map to see which day DPW will be collecting. Please have your leaf piles out by 7:00 a.m. on your collection day. For collection prior to October 21, leaves must be placed in paper yard waste bags. Click here for additional information.

Please rake leaves into piles at the edge of the curb. DO NOT place leaves into the street. Leaves in the street are more likely to clog inlet drains and cause street flooding. Questions about leaf collection can be directed to 414.847.2650 or via email at
