Interested community members were invited to participate in a Town Hall meeting specific to parking issues and opportunities on Tuesday, July 30. Along with members of the Transportation and Parking Analysis’ Technical Advisory Group, the project consultant led discussion on three particular areas: Oakland Ave., Capitol Dr. and residential regulations. Discussion from those in attendance focused on pinch points within the village that lacked adequate parking; visibility and directions to existing parking; clarity, consistency and enforcement of existing regulations; and, whether or not modifications to daytime or nighttime residential regulations should be considered.
Comments relating to those issues, as well as any other parking or transportation item, are welcomed throughout the process and may be submitted via the project’s online comment form. The next steps for the Transportation and Parking Analysis include focus groups and a Transportation Town Hall, which has been scheduled for Thursday, August 29.
