[ARCHIVED] Atwater Beach Lifeguards Return for the Summer

Atwater Beach

Lifeguards will be back again at Atwater Beach this summer. After a one year trial period with Coastline Services, LLC, the Village entered into a three year agreement to continue providing lifeguard services at the beach.

Lifeguard services will be available starting Saturday, June 22 through Sunday, August 18. The hours of service will be from 11:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.

Those that visit the beach are asked to obey the beach rules. The rules consist of no dogs, no fires or grills, and no glass. While lifeguards will be actively enforcing beach rules, their primary focus will be monitoring the water to assure all visitors are safe. The Village encourages everyone to stay on the public beach where there are trained lifeguards to keep all community members safe.

If you have questions about the lifeguards, contact Eric Gietzen at coastlineservicesmke@gmail.com. Please be safe this summer and enjoy Shorewood's public beach!
