Fourth of July Parade and Celebration Schedule
Get ready for the 2019 Fourth of July Parade and Celebration presented by the Shorewood Foundation. Here is a list of the day's activities:
1:30 p.m. - Little Sprouts Decoration Station in the parking lot of Kensington Liquor. Kids can bring their bicycle to decorate and ride at the end of the parade.
3:00 p.m. - Parade begins starting at Oakland Ave. and Kensington Blvd. and finishing at River Park.
4:00 p.m. - Free ice cream and music at River Park
5:30 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. - Food, beverages, and music at Atwater Park. Live music from the Shorewood Concert Band and Noyz' Boyz and Gyrlz (sponsored by the Shorewood Men's Club).
7:00 p.m. - Flag ceremony and introduction of the Parade Marshall at Atwater Park
9:30 p.m. or dusk - Fireworks at Atwater Park (sponsored by the Shorewood Foundation).
Volunteers Needed!
The Village is working with community partners again on planning this year's Fourth of July parade and celebration. For the parade, the Village needs a number of volunteers willing to coordinate the parade lineup. In addition, the Village is in need for fun vehicles to transport some of the parade participants. Convertibles and jeeps tend to work the best.
