[ARCHIVED] Village Weather and Service Updates for January 28-31

Village Hall and Village Center are opened today - Tuesday, January 29.  North Shore Health Department and the Public Library are also open today.  The Village will make a decision by the end of today if they will close their public buildings on Wednesday due to projected low temperatures and wind chill.  Stay tuned to the Village website and Facebook page for more updates on services.  Hopefully all of you stay warm and safe during the winter storm.

UPDATE AT 3:45 P.M. ON JANUARY 28

The plows have been through all arterial and residential roadways at least 1-2 times now. DPW is coordinating a cleanup starting at midnight (Tuesday morning) where the DPW staff will go through all the residential streets, alleys, public lots and sidewalks to clear the snow at least once more. Tuesday, during the day, the staff will then have time to clear the bus stops and move the snow piles in the business district. Thank you for everyone's patience and staff for working together during this winter storm!

UPDATE AT 8:40 a.m. ON JANUARY 29

Due to the weather, refuse and recycling collection days have been altered for this week. Monday collection days will be completed today (Tuesday). Those that have Tuesday and Wednesday collection days will be pushed back at least one day. The Village will make a decision today to determine if those collection days need to be pushed back another day based on the projected temperatures and wind chills for Wednesday.  Senior Resource Center activities are canceled Tuesday and Wednesday.
