[ARCHIVED] Village Weather and Service Updates for January 28-31

Due to the weather for Monday, January 28, Village Hall will be closed.  Only DPW and Police staff will be required to work to provide emergency services.  All refuse and recycling collections will be delayed at least one day this week due to the weather.  The Shorewood Public Library and Village Center will also be closed.  The North Shore Health Department will be closed at their Brown Deer and Shorewood locations.  All services and office hours will resume on Tuesday, January 29.  Stay tuned to the Village website and Facebook page for more updates on services.  Hopefully all of you stay warm and safe during the winter storm.

UPDATE AT 3:45 P.M. ON JANUARY 28

The plows have been through all arterial and residential roadways at least 1-2 times now. DPW is coordinating a cleanup starting at midnight (Tuesday morning) where the DPW staff will go through all the residential streets, alleys, public lots and sidewalks to clear the snow at least once more. Tuesday, during the day, the staff will then have time to clear the bus stops and move the snow piles in the business district. Thank you for everyone's patience and staff for working together during this winter storm!
