[ARCHIVED] Temporary On-Street Overnight Parking Permission Fee Eliminated

parking

During the 2019 budget meetings, the Trustees approved reducing the fee charged for temporary, on-street overnight parking permission from $2/permission to NO CHARGE.

All residents/visitors of the Village of Shorewood are allowed twenty (20) temporary, on-street overnight parking permissions per license plate in a calendar year. Residents/Visitors can use these permissions by registering their vehicle before 1 a.m. the morning of the requested 3 - 5 a.m. period. There is no requirement to register any vehicle for on-street, overnight parking on Saturday mornings, Sunday mornings or certain holiday mornings.  (These dates will be grayed out on the registration page.) Once the request is submitted and accepted, the request cannot be revoked. Calls to the Shorewood Police Department to arrange overnight parking will be redirected to the Village website.

Once a resident/visitor uses their 20 free temporary, on-street, overnight parking permissions, they will not be able to request additional permissions.

Residents/Visitors are encouraged to contact the Clerk & Customer Service Department at 414.847.2601 at least two (2) business days prior to using their final free permission to make arrangements to purchase monthly off-street parking on one of the Village-managed parking lots.
