This had previously been identified as a top priority for 2019. The scope of the study was confirmed to include a review and recommendations for the following:

  • Street classifications and circulation patterns;
  • Traffic controls and calming measures;
  • Bike, pedestrian and transit accommodations;
  • Procedures for the design, approval and implementation of transportation projects;
  • Metro Market redevelopment circulation study;
  • Daytime and nighttime parking analysis;
  • Municipal parking accommodations;
  • ADA compliance
  • Enforcement capabilities.

Responses to the Request for Proposals are due at the end of January for review and selection by the Village Board in February. As a next step, staff is developing a communications plan to guide the process, and identify the roles and responsibilities of the project team and public engagement.
