[ARCHIVED] Village Recruiting Residents to Help with Fourth of July

Fourth of July Fireworks

The Village of Shorewood is recruiting residents who are willing to coordinate this year's Fourth of July parade and celebration.  The Fourth of July parade and celebration is a wonderful event the Village hosts annually and allows members of the community to enjoy their surroundings and celebrate our country's Independence Day.

The Village created an application form to fill out.  Feel free to either fill out an online copy or print out a copy to fill out by hand.  Interested residents should provide with their application a cover letter expressing their interest to help with the Fourth of July celebration and/or a resume.  A copy of the job description can be found here.

Please note the Village is currently deciding if it will either ask one person to coordinate the celebration for a stipend or if it will establish a committee of volunteers to coordinate the events this year instead.  If you are interested in being involved either way, please note that on the application and/or provide your thoughts in the cover letter.

Residents can apply through Wednesday, March 15.  Please send completed applications or send any inquiries to Assistant Village Manager Tyler Burkart at tburkart@villageofshorewood.org or call at 414.847.2705.  We hope you consider applying, and thank you for being a part of this community!
