[ARCHIVED] Get to Know Your Neighbors: Attend a "Decades Dinner"

connectslogo

In November 2022, Shorewood Connects and the AARP of Wisconsin hosted a multi-generational Decades Dinner. A Decades Dinner brings together a diverse group of 8-10 adults, each in a different decade of their life, creating an opportunity for people of different ages and backgrounds to meet, share a meal, and engage in facilitated conversation.

By meeting new people and hearing from diverse perspectives, we can all learn from one another, and also see how much we have in common across the decades.

The first dinner was such a success, that we wanted to offer this opportunity to others in Shorewood. Upcoming dates are Thursday, February 22, Wednesday, March 13, and Tuesday, April 9. These dinners are being organized by Shorewood Connects which promotes inter-generational connections between residents and are being funded through the generosity of the AARP of Wisconsin.

Participants will meet at a home and share a simple meal of soup, salad and bread (catered). If you are a Shorewood resident and interested in participating, please fill out the interest form. Space is limited and diverse voices are valued. If you are not selected, we will keep your name on a list in case future dinners are offered.

Applications requested by January 26, 2024.
