Put your skills to work where they matter! The Village of Shorewood is hiring an Equipment Operator to support critical public works operations. This full-time role with the Department of Public Works offers hands-on equipment work, varied day-to-day tasks, and the opportunity to serve the community directly. What You’ll Do
- Operate automotive and mechanical equipment, including but not limited to trucks, loaders, backhoes, street sweepers, leaf suckers, air compressors, and more.
- Work with street, forestry, collections, sewer, water, or electrical crews primarily as an equipment operator.
- Wash, service, and make minor equipment repairs.
- Perform snow and ice control duties, including plowing and salting streets.
What We’re Looking For
- High School Diploma or GED and two years of diversified Public Works laboring experience.
- Knowledge of sound principles and practices I the operation of automotive and Public Works equipment.
- Possession of a valid Wisconsin Commercial Drivers’ License (CDL) with experience operating motorized equipment.

This is a non-exempt position with an hourly pay range of $25.44 – $35.17. The Village offers a competitive benefits package including:

Work Hours and Environment
This is a full time, non-exempt position, with regular hours from 7:00am – 3:30pm, Monday through Friday. Some emergency work, after hours, may be required.
