The Village of Shorewood is seeking to fill the position of Craftsman. 

The position’s primary duties include skilled, semi-skilled and laborer tasks involved in the preventative maintenance and repair of Village facilities and grounds. Tasks will include maintenance and repair of roofs, HVAC units, boilers, floors, furniture, beach equipment, air conditioners, modine heaters, repair of doors, locks, windows, screens. Position will require operation of power tools, hand tools, and heavy equipment necessary to accomplish tasks.

Position will require after hours emergency response.

Winter operations are required to include salting, plowing, hauling snow from Village streets, alleys, parking lots and sidewalks.

Previous experience in facility maintenance is preferred. Some formal education is preferred.

Possession of valid commercial driver’s license with air brakes is preferred upon hire but applicants will be considered who have the ability to obtain CDL within 6 months of date of hire. 

Salary range $27.71 to $38.80 per hour.
