I don't see my voter participation recorded in MyVote.

  • Recording of voter participation can take up to 30 days after an election.

 

I want to register to vote .

  • Note: You must reside at the address you provide on your Registration Form for at least 28 consecutive days prior to an election in order to vote in Shorewood. 
  • You may register on-line at www.myvote.wi.gov. Proof of Residency required. 
  • You may register by mail by completing the Voter Registration Application and submitting it along with a Proof of Residency. IMPORTANT:  Registrations by mail must be received in the Clerk's Department no later than 20 days prior to any election.  Any registrations received less than 20 days prior to any election cannot be processed and you will need to register at in-person absentee or at the polls on Election Day.  
  • You may register in-person in the Clerk's Department located in Village Hall, 3930 N Murray Ave., Shorewood WI 53211.  Valid Proof of Residency required.   IMPORTANT:  You may not register in the Clerk's Department the Monday prior to any election.

How can I request an absentee ballot to be mailed?

  • You may request to receive an absentee ballot:
    • by mail at myvote.wi.gov or 
    • in writing to cto@shorewoodwi.gov 
    • Please include your name, address, birthdate and photo ID.  
    • IMPORTANT: The last day to request an absentee ballot by mail is Thursday before any election. 

 When can I return my absentee ballot?

  • Absentee ballots must be received by the Clerk's Department no later than 8 p.m. on the day of any election. 

 

How can I return my absentee ballot?

  • Absentee ballots may be returned via USPS or in person, by the elector, to the Clerk's Department of the Village Hall.  You may NOT bring in another elector's absentee ballot.

 

When can I do in-person absentee voting?

  • In-Person absentee voting is held for two weeks prior to any election.   Hours are 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday - Friday at the Village Hall.  The second Friday, hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Village Hall, 3930 N Murray Ave.  There is no In-Person absentee voting on the Monday prior to Election Day.  For questions, please contact the Clerk's Department at 414.847.2700 or cto@shorewoodwi.gov
