Code Enforcement & Compliance
The Code Enforcement Inspector uses ordinances designed to assist in gaining compliance on code violations that affect the quality of life and appearance of the Village. Through community outreach, education and enforcement, Shorewood residents and businesses are helped to maintain a beautiful village. The inspector ensures corridors, neighborhoods and commercial properties are neat and clean, and that Shorewood's residents and business owners are following Village Codes. Citizens are encouraged to report violations when they see them. Major violations include:
- High grass and weeds
- Trash and debris
- Zoning violations
- Parking on grass
- No heat
In our ongoing effort to provide the highest level of service delivery, we encourage input from citizens and visitors.
To report any code deficiencies or concerns, provide the location or address, name of business, company, or property and nature of violation in writing.
