Joint meeting of representatives of the Village of Shorewood Board of Trustees and the School District of Shorewood Board of Trustees. Meetings are held quarterly.
Board of Appeals
The Board of Appeals is hearing appeals by any person feeling aggrieved by an administrative order, decision or determination and, further, for the purpose of hearing applications and granting variances and exceptions.
Board of Health
The North Shore Board of Health, with representatives from each of the seven communities, helps direct the Health Department's activities.
Board of Review
The Board of Review is established by State Statute. The Board hears appeals regarding assessed property values set by the Village Assessor and also performs certain procedural functions in approving the Village Assessment Roll.
Business Improvement District (BID)
Community Development Authority
The Community Development Authority was created in 1993 with the objectives to create beneficial effects upon the economy and quality of life in the Village.
The Conservation Committee recommends the adoption of policies, programs, and projects to accomplish its goals and objectives towards sustainability and conservation efforts.
Design Review Board
The Design Review Board examines all plans and designs for new buildings, facade improvements, building additions and commercial signs.
Elder Services Advisory Board
The Elder Services Advisory Board advises the Village Board and administration on matters related to the needs of Shorewood's older adult population.

Library Board of Trustees
The Shorewood Public Library Board decides what services the library offers and sets policies.
Marketing Advisory Committee
The Marketing Advisory Committee works directly with marketing consultants on initiatives and gives recommendations to Marketing Leadership Committee.
Marketing Leadership Committee
The Marketing Leadership Committee works with marketing consultants on annual reports and recommends budget allocations to the boards of the Business Improvement District, the Village and the School District.
The Parks Commission directs its attention to the physical improvement, maintenance, and use of all village parks and facilities, and works closely with the Shorewood Recreation Department, School District, and community groups.
Pedestrian & Bicycle Safety Committee
The Pedestrian & Bicycle Safety Committee's mission is to promote safe, enjoyable and healthful ways for pedestrians and cyclists to travel through the Village.
The role of the Plan Commission is to participate in community planning, plan implementation, development review and referrals and advisory recommendations.
The Police Commission is concerned with police personnel matters. It prepares an eligibility list of job applicants for police positions following a prescribed examination and selection procedure.
Public Art Committee
The Public Arts Committee was established to recommend policies and guidelines for the planning and implementation of a formal, phased program for selecting artist / design professionals, and for designing and placing public art throughout the Village.
The Shorewood Foundation is steward of the many generous gifts given to help provide support the Village's community institutions, facilities and services.
Village Board of Trustees
The Village Board has the responsibility for a wide range of policies and procedures including the management of village finances, the acquisition and allocation of funds for village operations, and final approval of a budget.
Wilson Drive Steering Committee
The Steering Committee is charged with developing and implementing a communication plan to ensure public participation; providing oversight and guidance to work groups; reviewing findings and opinions of the work groups.
