March 8, 2017, 10:00 AM - 11:30 AM @ Village Center
On Wednesday, March 8 from 10-11:30 a.m., please join us for a special presentation by Former Governor Martin Schreiber on the topic of caring for a loved one with Alzheimer's disease. The presentation will be in the Village Center, and donuts and coffee will be provided.
In recent years, Governor Schreiber has become a passionate advocate for those affected by dementia, sharing his personal journey as a caregiver for his wife in his recently published book, "My Two Elaine's: Learning, Coping, and Surviving as an Alzheimer's Caregiver."
In addition to Governor Schreiber, other members of the Shorewood Connects Dementia Awareness Work Group will share their perspectives in terms of "What I Wish I had Known at the Beginning" of their own caregiving experiences.
This event is co-sponsored by the Shorewood Senior Resource Center, Shorewood Connects, and the Shorewood Public Library.
