On Monday, June 25, the Village Board will continue the discussion of updating the Village's vision plan and prioritizing the initiatives proposed. It is anticipated the Board will finalize their prioritization at the end of this meeting or on July 2. The meeting will begin at 6 p.m. in the Village Hall Court Room. This is a public meeting and certainly encourage all community members to attend. The meeting will be video recorded for all those not able to attend.
This will be a great opportunity for the Village Board to continue a dialogue in determining what initiatives will be implemented in the community moving forward. This meeting will also provide representatives from the citizen committees to hear one another's initiatives and encourage them to collaborate on similar actions.
Majority of the June 13 meeting was focused on educating the Board and the public on the proposed initiatives. The Village Board was then asked on Monday, June 18 to deliberate on the priorities and begin identifying which ones are crucial enough to implement in 2019. These discussions considered the limited amount of resources available as well as the desire of the public to be responsible with taxpayer dollars.
Those community members that would like to review the priorities can do so on the Village website. If you have questions about the process or would like to inform the Village Board of your thoughts, please feel free to contact Village Manager Rebecca Ewald directly via email at firstname.lastname@example.org or at 414.847.2701.
