Milwaukee 53206 Documentary Screening and Discussion

Tuesday, September 19, 2017

The Kingo Lutheran Church is working jointly with the Shorewood Senior Resource Center, Shorewood School District, and the Shorewood Public Library to host a screening and discussion of the documentary "Milwaukee 53206." The date of the screening is Tuesday, September 19 from 6:30 - 8 p.m. at the Shorewood High School Auditorium. The event is free and open to the public. Milwaukee 53206 is a one-hour documentary that chronicles the lives of those affected by incarceration in America's most incarcerated zip code. Through the intimate stories of three 53206 residents, we witness the high toll mass incarceration takes on individuals and families that make up the community. A panel discussion will follow the screening. Kingo Lutheran Church is leading a community collection of new or gently used bed sheets (variously sized), bath towels and washcloths. Please bring these items to the SHS Milwaukee 53206 Screening, or Kingo Lutheran Church: 9am-2pm, M-TH; 9am-12pm, F;10am-12pm, Sun
