2019 Woodburn Watermain Relay Program

In 2019, approximately 640 lineal feet of 6 inches water main is scheduled to be replaced in the 4200 block of North Woodburn Street (between East Olive Street and East Lawnwood Street). The project has been publicly bid and a construction contract is scheduled to be awarded on February 19, 2019.

Lead Service Replacements

The municipal portion of the 27 water services connecting to this main segment will be replaced as a part of this project. Property owners will have the option to replace their private water service under the Village's contract, potentially at a reduced cost.

Property owners and residents in the project area will be notified via U.S. Mail. A project information meeting is scheduled for Thursday, February 29, 2019 at 6:00 p.m. in the Shorewood Village Center.

Lead Service Replacement Policy

The Village's Lead Service Replacement Policy addresses three components:

  • Public Education and Information
  • Removing Lead Services from the Distribution System
  • Protecting Our Customers
