Apartment On-Street Overnight Parking
The On-Street Overnight Parking Program is administered similarly to the village’s current off-street / municipal lot program. Under the On-Street Overnight Parking Program, permits are sold directly to property owners and are purchased for a designated three-month period: January - March, April - June, July - September, and October - December. Property owners are responsible for providing the village Customer Service Department with current vehicle information for each permit they have purchased.
If purchasing permits by mail, it is recommended that property owners submit their payment for the next quarter permit before the 20th of the last month of the existing quarter to assure the timely receipt of the next period’s permit. Owners may purchase their permits for the entire year. According to village policy, permits may not be resold for more than face value.
To find out how many parking spots have been allocated to your building and their availability, please contact your landlord or on-site building manager.
The On-Street Overnight Parking Program allows property owners on parts of N. Oakland Ave., E. Capitol Drive, and N. Wilson Drive to purchase quarterly parking permits granting on-street, alternate-side parking from Sunday evening to Friday morning. Permits may only be purchased by property owners or managers; tenants must obtain their permits from their property owner or manager. Details for each area are provided in the following brochures:

- Details for Permit Area W (PDF) (Wilson Drive)
- Details for Permit Area X (PDF) (Capitol Drive east of Oakland Avenue)

Vehicle Information Form
A Vehicle Information Form (PDF) must be completed. Any changes in address, phone number, or auto information must be given to Customer Service immediately. Out of date auto information may result in a parking ticket.
Permits will allow parking on alternate sides of designated streets, within their designated area. The Police Department will be scanning license plates, and no stickers will be issued.
On Sunday, Tuesday, and Thursday nights a vehicle with a valid night permit must be legally parked on the side of the street with even house numbers (north and east side of the street). On Monday and Wednesday nights a vehicle must be parked on the side of the street with odd house numbers (south and west sides of the street) - if applicable to the parking area.
All vehicles must obey all time zones, signs and other parking restrictions. Per ordinance, all vehicles must be moved at least once every 24 hours to not be considered abandoned.
